HARD LABOR CREEK STATE PARK in Rutledge, Georgia, offers a wide range of recreational opportunities in a beautiful wooded setting with two large lakes on 5,804 acres!

    The Park is best known for its golf course named "The Creek." Hard Labor Creek cuts through the golf course creating natural water hazards on five holes! "The Creek" provides an 18-hole golf course, a pro shop, driving range, rental carts, unlimited weekday play, and junior & senior citizen discounts.         Golf isn't the only activity here, however! There are 22+ miles of trails for horseback riding. Thirty horse stalls (there are no horse rentals at the park, so bring your own), a riding ring, and 12 equestrian campsites are available. There is a 2.5 mile hiking trail, and on weekdays, you can hike on the 22+ miles of horse trails. A beach and bathhouse are open in the summer. You can also rent boats, pedal boats or fishing boats at the lakes. And in the summertime, the whole family will enjoy the celestial observatory.

        Live, visit, or just play at this outdoor paradise known as LAKE OCONEE, located an hour east of Atlanta on I-20!  Lake Oconee is the second largest lake located entirely within the State of Georgia. It consists of 19,000 acres bordered by Greene, Morgan and Putnam counties. The shoreline of Lake Oconee at full pool is 376 miles! Lake Sinclair is a close "neighbor", and the two lakes are separated by Wallace Dam.
