Meet Butch Morton, the Broker/Owner and the 2008 EMBOR REALTOR OF THE YEAR! Butch has been a REALTOR since February of 1997, and was formerly with RE/MAX. He has achieved all the designations shown above, along with his Associate Broker and Broker licenses, and his Auctioneer license (GAL#3672). He has earned awards for the Executive Club, 100% Club, Multi-Million Dollar Active Life Member, Top Commercial Team Leader Sales Associate, Platinum Club, and more. The most prestigious award that he has achieved is for the Hall of Fame! He was admitted to the Professional Achievers Circle of the East Metro Board of Realtors (EMBOR) in 2007 and awarded the Silver Star Award, representing ten years of professional achievement. Additionally, he earned the Circle of Excellence Award in 2007 and 2008. Butch has served as the Vice President of Governmental Affairs & Professional Development for EMBOR, where he was involved with promoting real estate, and working to resolve problems in the industry. LEAH PRINCE Leah is married with two children. Her husband, William, builds custom homes, along with doing much of his own carpentry work. William's excitement over the homes he builds and works on has been passed on to Leah! She loves viewing homes, both new and resales! With her love of houses, her familiarity with the needs of a family, and the fact that she truly enjoys helping people, it's no surprise that Leah loves being a REALTOR! As she puts it, "The buyers have something in their heads that they want, and I like helping them develop their dreams." And when those dreams are realized, Leah is as thrilled as her clients are! ROGER PFLUG After 30 years of business ownership (12 years on Long Island and 18 years in Fort Meyers, FL), Roger and his wife, Linda, relocated to Georgia in 2002. Roger decided to get his real estate license and become a Realtor based on many years of investing, buying and selling restate for himself. We at Butch Morton #1 Realty are pleased and fortunate to have him as a member of our team! Roger and Linda love Georgia and the Covington/Lake Jackson area! Linda is an accomplished artist and is an active member of Southern Heartland Art Gallery on the square in historic Covington. Roger is an active member of the Covington Lions Club and also volunteers at the Newton County Medical Center. He is also a member in good standing with the East Metro Board of Realtors (EMBOR), the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. LISA DaCOSTA We happily welcomed Lisa, who is Roger's daughter, as an agent and new friend at Butch Morton #1 Realty! Lisa gained her knowledge of real estate as a licensed Realtor in the Punta Gorda/Fort Myers area of Florida for nine years. She specialized in Residential and Land Sales. At that time she also owned and operated her own business and assisted her husband with his commercial painting business. In 2006, after 23 years in Southwest Florida, Lisa and her family moved to Covington, GA. They had fallen in love with the "hometown" atmosphere and the warm welcome they felt with each visit to their parents, who had moved here several years earlier. Lisa and her husband have four wonderful children, and they all enjoy boating, fishing and exploring the beauty of their new area. Lisa transferred to our office from an agency in Morgan County, and is very familiar with all the local counties. She is a member of the East Metro Board of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She also works at the Newton Medical Center Hospital in Covington. How does she do it all? She explains that she is "a high energy, seasoned and professional Realtor. Joanne started her career as a Registered Nurse! Then she moved to Newton County, GA, in 1967. At that time, a friend in the real estate business talked her into trying real estate, which she did. And when she obtained her license in 1970, she went to work with her friend. Joanne earned her Broker's License in 1973, and also graduated from the Georgia Realtors Institute in 1973 with her GRI designation. She also earned her Loss Mitigation Certification in 2009. Joanne still lives in Newton County and still loves real estate! "I enjoy helping people find the home they will enjoy for years," she says. She mainly sells in Rockdale, Newton, Walton, and Morgan Counties. She knows the business and has sold many homes, land, and commercial properties over the years.
